2022-03-25 Drone Flies Thru Gigafactory Berlin!

Woo-hoo! This 4.4 minute drone video on YouTube flies through seemingly impossible places! Through the stamping presses, through the robotic welders, the paint shop, the assembly lines, everywhere! I had to slow it down to 0.5 speed to see what’s happening! This is what I’ve been waiting for, wanting to see things close up and

2021-09-18 Land Care Robot Electrifies Tasks

This ad popped up and I had to watch this little workhorse do its jobs. It gave me several thoughts of what it could be used for. It even can work in the dark and in the rain. It said that it’s 64 HP and $14,800.00. When I was a kid, I remember seeing articles

2021-06-23 Glass Fiber & Concrete Flywheel For Storage

This French company uses glass fiber reinforced flywheels for energy storage instead of steel. Quote: << Gennesseaux went on to say. “We are around 10 grams of CO2 per kWh, while lithium-ion batteries are around 40g CO2/kWh, at the same level as steel flywheels.”>> Initially the flywheel will store 10 kWh. It’s buried underground. Steel

2021-05-02 Solar Replacing Nuclear, Photo Of Inside GF Texas – Best In Tesla Video

At 14:23 Lars explained that they said in the Tesla quarterly report that the nuclear power plant including the safety zone land around it is big enough to hold a solar plant that will generate the same amount of power. Here is a video of houses being built with a giant 3D printer. Building prefab concrete houses was done by Thos. Edison over a hundred years ago. But this is a 3D printer driven by software. https://www.facebook.com/111926455614/posts/10164381464620615/?app=fbl

2018-08-03 GE Special Speaker And Iron Particles

From FB group Building Transistor Radios, Aug 6 This also happens with the meter movements of old analog meters. The iron particles get into the magnet assembly and stop the coil from moving. The only way I’ve found that gets rid of the iron particles is to very gently put a thin piece of steel

2018-08-29 High Temperature And Nylon Screws

From FB group Hobby Electronics, 2018-09-01 I faced this dilemma before. I’ve repaired power supplies where the transistor failed because it was not held tightly to the heat sink because of a nylon screw that got hot. I used a steel screw and a fiber washer, and heat shrink tubing over the threads to insulate.

2017-11-04 Zenith Royal 500 Fixed Part Way

I got another Zenith Royal 500 at auction, I think it was $20 but the shipping cost a lot.  I got it out and tried it out.  I found the battery contacts were in good condition.  The battery compartment was missing the cover.  It came with a leather case, so that will stop the batteries
