Perovskites are not a breakthrough, but making thin, flexible multilayer sheets flexible enough to coat surfaces is innovative. The main issue with Perovskites is they are not as long-lasting as silicon; they lose capacity in a shorter time. Some small amount of debt might be acceptable, such as credit cards. But the student debt os far too onerous and is outright economic slavery. So I don’t agree fully.
