The IPCC plans for 1.5C require that the countries have to do a cutback below BAU – business as usual. Countries incentivize RE – renewable energy – to get it more competitive with FFs – fossil fuels. But FFs say we’re not going to stand by and let this happen and they raise hell saying it’s hurting our business! Meanwhile the FFs are making and implementing growth plans – new FF development – drilling, mining, extraction, pipelines, transport. This is *BAU* – business as usual! That’s *not* acceptable – it violates the whole plans and pathways to prevent climate change.
There needs to be a 28th Amendment that establishes the primary directive is to place our Earth and its environment above the rights of man to severely damage or destroy it. The ending the extreme problem of climate change must take priority over anything else.
