It’s obvious that these lobbying firms are not loyal to one side or the other; they are strictly mercenaries: they’re only in it for the money. I don’t think I would want to be represented by someone who is not sincere about their loyalty. Who knows what subterfuge is going on between the lobbyists? They could be revealing your strategies to the opposing side. I think I would want the lobbyists to fully disclose who they represent; there should be a law requiring them to do so. The law should also require lobbyists to to reveal how much funding they are getting from the opposing side. It’s obvious that if lobbyist is getting paid 10 times more for the opposing side, your chances are not as good of getting fair representation.
This whole scheme should prove that what’s going on with the government is not fair. Fossil fuel companies spend hundreds of millions of dollars to influence lawmakers, both state and federal, to get laws passed or rejected that are causing great harm our people and our planet.
