Before 1972, when Roe v. Wade took effect, this was what happened. Women died from illegal abortions when they got sepsis AKA blood poisoning. After Roe V. Wade doctors were no longer penalized for giving necessary medical procedures. Now that Roe V. Wade was struck down, in some states they have gone back to the dark ages where women can die due to a state law. 😡
Making abortions illegal is like making smoking marijuana illegal: it doesn’t stop it from being done. It just means more women will die from illegal, unsanitary medical procedures.
If you don’t believe this, just read the articles in newspapers before 1972 and see the deaths of women who had illegal abortions.
If you truly believe in the sanctity of life, then you should support *legal* abortions.
