Elon said that the energy storage segment would probably grow to be bigger than the auto segment. It was also said that Tesla had orders for 80,000 Megapacks waiting to be filled. So 80,000 times $2.5 million apiece equals close to $200 Billion dollars! That’s a whole lot of money to be made by Tesla!!

Also, consider this. With Megapacks, there are no longer a lot of disadvantages that manufacturing EVs has. Instead, Tesla sells 1 Megapack that’s equal to selling 40 to 50 EVs. The factory size is much smaller so capex isn’t as great. There is no need to update a lot of software like autopilot or FSD. No need to use so much raw materials for car bodies or interiors; no need to pass crash tests or so many other types of tests. No worries about being sued for accidents blamed on the Tesla EV. And many other disadvantages, too. Megapacks are seriously great products!
