There are lots of UV lights being advertised on social media that use LED lights and claim to sterilize the Corona Virus. These are not putting out UV-C light which is necessary for killing germs. This video shows that the LED lights put out no UV-C, but put out UV-A or UV-B. Beware, bbecause these fake lights are not killing the germs, and you can get CoViD19 after using a fake one!

If the reading goes down a lot when he puts in the glass, it means the light is putting out UV-C and the glass is blocking it. If the reading stays the same when he puts the glass in, there was no UV-C put out by the light, so the glass has nothing to block and the reading changes very little.

This is a simple device. That means it’s just a buzzer and a battery. And it has a super sensitive magnetic switch. This detector is always open until it is disturbed by a magnetic field. They call it a magnetometer.

One way to make this is to use a compass. The compass needle is set to point so it’s between but doesn’t touch two wires. If the magnetic field is disturbed it will touch one or the other wire.

These are common in California. Why?
The seismologists use them along with tiltmeters and seismometers to detect changes in the earth to tell if an earthquake is eminent.

The circuit may use a relay that latches it on once it has triggered. The button on the front may be to reset it to stop buzzing.

If I would build this I would use a capacitive detector for detecting the needle movement. It could improve the sensitivity many times. When the needle moves the distance between plates changes and the capacitance change will cause the circuit to change. It could change frequency, or timing of an oscillator. Or it could change the balance of a bridge circuit, similar to a wheatstone bridge.

At about 4 minutes before the end during the Q & A session, Michael Worobey said

So you now know that the conspiracy theory about the Chinese or Russians releasing a virus is probably true, but it happened almost 70 years ago. His lecture is worth watching, just to see that he knows what he is talking about, he does this virus research as his profession and he’s not a conspiracy theorist.

The following screenshot was from his slides. These approximately ten thousand nucleotides make up the genome of the Spanish Flu. This simple six page description of the molecules that make up the virus, which can each be read (on a full sized photo), are what killed 50 million or more people – about 3% of the world’s population – in the 1918 flu pandemic, and millions of people since. It’s so simple it’s not considered to be alive, but it is horribly contagious, invasive and deadly – not just to humans, but to birds, hogs, horses and other animals.

The H part is the ‘Key’ that unlocks the cell so that the virus can go inside. The N is the scalpel that opens the cell membrane up to let out all the replicated viruses inside the cell, to invade the rest of the body.

The problem is that this coronavirus is so contagious that loosening the restrictions a little bit may cause a huge jump in the disease. What we really need is some people to be ‘guinea pigs’ and participate in experiments to find out *exactly* where this virus is spreading. My theory is that the hot spots like New York City and Los Angeles may be vulnerable due to their mass transit systems. Also, the virus may be spreading by the exchange of money – currency and change. It is very important that we find out how to slow down the virus without bringing the country to its knees. So far there has been too much damage to the economy due to the restrictions.

Many years ago I saw electronic listening devices for receiving a block of ultrasonic frequencies that bats use and downconvert that block to frequencies that humans can hear. But no one to my knowledge has tried to convert human frequencies up to ultrasonic frequencies so that humans can try to establish a conversation with other small animals. I don’t make a claim that it will work, but one never knows until it has been attempted and found that it doesn’t work.

Yesterday, a federal judge in New York invalidated an October 2017 Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) directive from former EPA head Scott Pruitt. That directive led to the EPA removing many of the US’ top scientists from its roughly 23 advisory committees. Judge Denise Cote found that the EPA “failed to articulate any reason” or provide any evidentiary basis for its decision.

The lawsuit was filed by the international environmental organization the Natural Resources Defense Council (NRDC). The directive disqualified scientists who receive research grants from the EPA, mainly scientists from universities and other nonprofit institutions, on the groundless pretext that these scientists may be biased.

The EPA hypocritically allowed scientists, consultants, and others who work for or receive funding from the chemical and fossil-fuel industries to serve on the advisory committees.

NRDC attorney Vivian Wang said: “EPA should return to relying on science to protect people from dirty air, unsafe water, and toxic chemicals, and do it now.”

This was the 107th lawsuit that the NRDC has filed against Trump administration environmental rollbacks. The NRDC has won 60 of the 65 resolved cases to date.

Chris Zarba, former chair of the EPA Science Advisory Board, said:

This decision was clearly a victory for science. It will help ensure that some of the nation’s leading scientists will no longer be prohibited from advising EPA on how best to fulfill its mission to protect public health and safeguard the environment. However, there are a number of additional steps that need to be taken to ensure that EPA actions and decisions are based on the best available science.

Looks like the Trump administration has been again stopped from “draining the swamp” by replacing the waters with toxic waste. The article said that out of 107 lawsuits, the NRDC has won 60 of the 65 lawsuits that have been resolved so far. This indicates to me that this administration has been repeatedly trying to do an end run around laws and policies that are in the best interests of the country and the world. That is absolutely shameful.

If the world is going to stop ewaste pollution there has to be more recycling and repairing
and less ‘planned obsolescence’. This is not what businesses want, but their business models are choking the landfills with plastic and causing pollution. We have been made acutely aware of just how much pollution there is in the air now that the Coronavirus quarantine has put a standstill to Industries and transportation. Suddenly all the skies over the cities have cleared up, and pollution has dropped dramatically.
