Tesla CyberCanopy: Is it a new Tesla product?
I believe the US should introduce a ‘cyberincentive’ to add solar PV the all chargers. There has been a continual criticism that the EVs will “overload the grid”. The addition of solar PV and storage to charging stations will alleviate the demand on the grid. And once the storage has reached capacity, any excess solar may be used to sell back to the grid, helping finance the solar PV plus storage.
Someone complained that the amount of area required for fast charging is much greater than the amount of canopy area. This isn’t an issue as long as there are additional parking spaces that can be used for additional canopy area. The canopies could also be extended onto vacant land.
