The COVID pandemic was marred by hundreds of thousands of deaths of foolish people who refused for paranoid reasons to get vaccinated.
But the worst thing about not getting vaccinated is the unvaccinated person spreads death to those who have compromised immune systems.
My friend’s husband just got a kidney transplant and he has to take immune suppression drugs so his body won’t reject the transplant. He can’t risk being exposed and catching COVID and others like the flu. She works as a cashier and they put her in the lawn and garden where few people check out. She has to wear a mask, because if she catches something, she can’t go home and expose her husband!
And I have a neighbor who has to work from home for the same reason – she has a transplant. And it makes me very angry that foolish, inconsiderate people who refuse to protect themselves from a deadly disease are exposing others who have weak immune system and putting them in the hospital where they will most likely die.
Do what is right, not just for you but for others who are not able to protect themselves against a deadly disease.
Get vaccinated.
