This doesn’t seem to be good for Toyota FCEV, Honda FCX or Hyundai. Toyota has been making FCEVs for more than 2 decades. It would seem they would know what the realities were and are regarding FCEVs. The Honda FCX Concept in 1999 and FCX Clarity from 2008.
The future of heavy vehicles, trains airplanes and ships is hydrogen because hydrogen has a lot of energy per kg, like fossil fuels. Hydrogen may not be a great choice for light vehicles if batteries are improved in the next few years.
