Pozi-drive – Is that what they call them? Maybe this will bring back memories. I was waiting in the checkout line at the computer store and saw a kit of, I don’t know, maybe a hundred different screwdriver bits and a cheap handle. None of them come with documentation, but the tips are there for just about any screw head.
For security purposes we were required to wipe clean all hard disk drives or destroy them. So at work I took way over a hundred HDDs apart with those screwdriver bits. Most were Torx, T8, T9, sometimes T7 or T6. I had a 6″ by 9″ heavy plastic bag of those tiny screws, must have weighed five pounds. I finally spent a bunch of evenings watching the boob tube with a cafeteria tray in my lap, sorting piles of screws and filled dozens of pill bottles.
