I believe that more concentrated solar systems should be installed. The one I’m talking about is the trough reflectors that heat the fluid that is stored in insulated tanks and can keep running the generators after sunset. These solve the energy storage problem, especially when the day might be cloudy or raining.
There is a not so high tech method called a Stirling engine that can run using the heat from direct sunlight. These could be made by any industrial company without a need for high tech such as PV cells. There would be a need for a controller to track the Sun. These could also run from stored heat after sunset.
