This is the most important thing you can do to reduce CO2 and save this planet!
I found out about this today, and I had not known how easy it was to pay for the carbon dioxide that I (and all others) generate to be removed from the atmosphere and put permanently underground. This is much, much more than just an ad for climeworks.com. This is an ad for anyone who believes in climate change to pay a monthly fee, and the money will be used to build more CO2 DAC – direct air capture plants. They have 15 plants so far. The plant in Iceland runs using green geothermal energy, so it’s not adding CO2, it’s removing it from the air.
We need to build thousands of these plants to *reduce* the CO2 in the atmosphere all over the world. Just changing to renewable energy is not enough – we have to do more than just stop making more CO2 – we have to reduce the amount in the air. If everyone who can afford to pay a monthly payment signs up, they would be able to build enough DAC plants to really make a difference.
