2021-01-25 Put Vets Before Illegals

From my FB reply:

I don’t see why there has to be a choice between one or the other. I’m a veteran and I don’t believe any veteran should be mistreated or abandoned. The same with those who have suffered mistreatment or abandonment, many of whom are in the US illegally – there are more than 11 million of them. They pick the food that you eat, they clean the rooms of the Trump hotels. Yet Trump had Steve Miller as his aide, and what was odd is Miller’s ancestors were jewish refugees from eastern Europe. Miller and Sessions were responsible for mistreating immigrants – breaking up thousands of immigrant families and taking young *innocent* kids away from their parents. I don’t believe that what they did to refugees was humane. But we have an illegal immigrant problem because there are corrupt countries south of the border and as long as there are problems down there, we are going to have them coming here to get away from the drug kingpins and crime. Living illegally here is still much better than living down there, fearing for their lives. If we want to solve the immigration problem, we can’t ignore them. The solution lies south of the border, not taller fences or stricter laws.
