The same company that contaminated the hills north of Los Angeles with radioactive waste built another sodium cooled reactor in Nebraska. It didn’t last long, and was converted to coal. Seems to me that Mother Nature was telling humans that they were opening a Pandora’s box full of hornet’s nests.
Today Nebraska has a lot of wind turbines, and if they get more renewables plus storage they can be like their neighbor Iowa which gets 40% of their electricity from renewables.
