The Tesla businesses are diverse, and compete one against the other. The EV manufacturing business will be restricted by the robotaxi business since fewer EVs will be needed to transport the same number of people. This is disruptive and it’s difficult to tell how much disruption there will be.
Similarly, the V2G (vehicle to grid) system will make fewer Megapacks necessary to do “peak shaving”, so these two businesses will compete for the same electric power.
He says that the utilities business is ten times bigger than auto, but with the above in mind it will be difficult to predict how that will affect V2G and Megapack sales.
