Also the amount of land used to grow crops to feed livestock is a huge amount of the total farmland. The grantees of the US Department of Agriculture entered into a contract for grants to help pay for their renewable electricity projects. Now this funding freeze is withholding the money, in violation of their contracts. It looks like they should be hiring lawyers to take the US government to court and sue for the money
