New nuclear is much too expensive – they have multi-Billion dollar cost overruns. New nuclear takes too long to build – they have had decade long construction delays. The biggest reason to not build new nuclear is solar or wind with battery energy storage costs a fraction of nuclear cost and can be built in 2 years. And there is no ongoing cost for fuel.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
