This is a new word for a new pumped hydro storage system I just read about. In the following article it looks like one of the reservoirs in the traditional pumped hydro system has been replaced by a well. The ‘hydro’ water is pumped under pressure into the well and then the pressurized well water is released to generate ‘hydroelectricity’. The advantages are that there is no second reservoir above ground, and this requires no difference of elevation in the reservoir.<\/p>\n
