I replaced the electrolytic capacitors, and I found that one of the germanium output transistors was shorted. I replaced both with silicon PNP transistors (the screwdriver tip on the right points to the two). Above them is a 33k (orange, orange, orange) base bias resistor. I put the 10k (brown, black, orange above it) across it to bias the two transistors to sound clean.
