\nLong ago I calculated that the number of solar panels to populate such a large area would be in the billions. But saying it would have to be the size of Alberta is misleading because the solar *system* would have to be distributed around the world to have a majority of the panels in the sunlight. And these would have to be interconnected with a massive transmission system – that’s another hidden cost.
